We’re growing: Welcome Alice to Hearten!

From the moment we met, Alice Davies, we were drawn to her kind and grounded presence, strong clinical instincts, and clarity and thoughtfulness in her expression. Her drive to learn and grow as a therapist—and her deep passion for supporting clients through life’s relational challenges—make her a perfect fit for our relationally focused team. We’re so excited for our clients and community to get to know her. Her first day is Monday, April 28!

Relational Therapy Rooted in Curiosity, Compassion, and Culture
Relationships can bring so much joy—but they can also be confusing, challenging, and full of questions. You don't have to figure it out alone, whether you're starting something new, feeling stuck in a current dynamic, or going through a significant life transition. Alice’s work as an associate licensed marriage and family therapist centers around supporting clients across the full spectrum of the relationship journey—from dating and premarital counseling to family planning, separation, and everything in between. Her warm, collaborative approach helps clients explore their relationship patterns, improve communication, and move forward confidently and intentionally.

With specialized training in systemic and relational therapy, Alice understands that our emotional well-being is deeply connected to our relationships and environments. She partners with clients to explore the broader contexts of their lives—including identity, culture, and lived experience—to promote sustainable and empowering growth.

Areas of Focus
Alice is passionate about helping clients navigate pivotal life transitions. Her clinical expertise includes:

  • Dating and premarital preparation

  • Interracial and intercultural relationships

  • Financial stress in partnerships

  • Consensual non-monogamy and non-traditional relationships

  • Teen pregnancy and early parenthood

  • Fertility challenges and family planning

  • Uncertainty about staying in or leaving relationships

  • Breakups and separation

She also supports clients dealing with communication issues, codependency, and differing attachment styles, helping them build self-awareness and tools for healthier relationships.

A Therapist Who Understands the Importance of Inclusivity and Identity
As an Asian American therapist, Alice is especially committed to serving clients from the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community. She values the importance of cultural nuance in therapy and brings a deep respect for the diverse ways individuals and families define connection, identity, and healing.

Alice welcomes clients from all backgrounds, identities, and relationship structures, including chosen families, LGBTQIA+ partnerships, and those practicing consensual non-monogamy. Her goal is to create a therapeutic space where every client feels seen, heard, and supported—just as they are.
