LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR | NATIONAL CLINICAL COUNSELOR

ALANA STRAMOWSKI, LPC, NCC

Being in relationships is a universal human experience, and navigating them often comes with unique challenges. I believe how we show up in our relationships—whether with a partner, family member, friend, colleague, or ourselves—sets the foundation for everything else in our lives. As a therapist, I specialize in working with clients at all stages of relationships: from pre-dating and dating, through early relationship adjustments, to navigating significant life transitions, complex family dynamics, dissolution of relationships, and the grief that may follow the end of a relationship.

I create a safe and nurturing space for individuals and couples to authentically explore their emotional worlds and relational challenges, whether they are just beginning a new chapter or navigating changes in a long-term partnership. Practicing from a trauma-informed, integrative relational lens, I draw on existential and psychodynamic theories to guide clients toward deeper self-awareness and understanding. Grounded in feminist and systems-based approaches, I also emphasize the importance of social contexts, power dynamics, and the influence of broader systems on relationships and personal well-being.

With a calm and comforting demeanor, I strive to foster trust and openness while holding clients accountable to encourage meaningful and long-lasting growth. I am dedicated to helping clients build stronger, more fulfilling connections with themselves and others, wherever they may be on their relationship journey.

I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Roosevelt University and hold the Licensed Clinical Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) designations. In addition to my graduate training, I am certified as a Level II practitioner in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, a research-based approach that supports couples at every stage of their relationship. I’m also an active member of the American Counseling Association (ACA).
